United States - National Consumer Protection Week March 7-13
National Consumer Protection Week is an annual consumer protection event that encourages individuals across the U.S. to take full advantage of their consumer rights. NCPW 2010 is March 7-13. This year's theme - Dollars & Sense: Rated "A" for All Ages - highlightes the importance of using good consumer sense at every stage of life - from grade school to retirement . For that reason, the NCPW site features a page for kids and parents and highlights websites, games and videos that teach kids practical lessons about the role of business and government in everyday life.
For the first time ever, the NCPW site features a blog that will enable consumers and consumer advocates to share resources, tips and outreach ideas. On the blog, we will share resources that can help people protect their privacy, manage money and debt, avoid identity theft, understand credit and mortgages, and steer clear of frauds and scams.
